Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

Course contents
* Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
* Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
* Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
* Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
* Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
* Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
* Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
* English & Mathematics (grade Grade C/Level 4 or above)
Desirable qualifications
A Level or equivalent in:
* Any Subjects (grade 3x A Level A-C)
BTEC or equivalent in:
* Construction Related Subject (grade Level 3 or above)

Other requirements
You will work on various sites across the Northwest so your own transport is essential. This is construction so the environment you will work in could be dirty, dusty, noisy, cold, busy etc. You need to be reliable and Health & Safety conscious. You will need a decent fitness level as you'll be clocking up some steps walking around site each day.
