This role is all about giving additional independent assurance that our data is compliant and meets the requirements of funding
rules. You’ll have an eye for detail, be comfortable with providing and reviewing reports, and you’ll assist in the preparation of
error free ILR data for submission to external funders. You will be a key player in the preparation for external audits and
quality monitoring visits. You will also be responsible for keeping up to date with any changes which affect funding and
compliance. And you’ll be able to share your knowledge too, providing training and support for those tasked with data submission
whilst coordinating the end-to-end funding return process.
Although this role is based in Gainsborough, we work extremely flexibly and there will be home working too.
As a data and performance Officer, a typical day might include:
* Maintain comprehensive and accurate funding knowledge and be the ‘Go to person’ for education and skills funding advice
* Ensure the data is complete and accurate and advise on any funding and data requirements
* Lead the data analysis, insight and reporting for education and skills, ensuring we have accurate and timely information for
all our programmes.
* Coordinate data integrity procedures including the management of validation and error reports. Prepare timely submissions of
error free data returns to a range of external agencies and support audit and quality inspections.
* Support the development of core data systems and tools within education and skills for all new contracts and delivery, ensuring
the operational team are able to capture and monitor key requirements and outcomes across contracts.
* Analyse and interpret data about our programmes, delivery and outcomes, helping us predict trends, risks in meeting performance
expectations, and future needs. Prepare and share data to enable core business performance dashboards to be produced.
* Using knowledge of funding policy, own the reporting of financial and performance data across all contracts, producing reports
and insight monthly to inform the overall position, and support the wider team to be proactive with funder engagement.
* Taking an active part of the business development team, leading projects to maximise our impact.
What we need to consider your application::
* Knowledge of funding policy for education across all ages and provision – becoming the expert within the team to align data and
reporting
* Experience of ILR’s, funding returns and MIS systems
* Strong IT skills, across multiple platforms, along with advanced knowledge of Excel with an eye for detail that’s second to
none
* Strong communicator with strong collaboration strengths
* Ability to work as a team, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
* Data analysis and insight is what gets you up every day

* Knowledge and skills in data interrogation and research methodology
* A knowledge of the funding and bidding process and the part data and insight plays
