Role
We’re looking for an experienced Demand Planner to lead forecasting activities for our wholesale customer base. As a critical part of our sales and commercial organization, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate forecasts across our product categories. This role involves hands-on development and execution of demand and inventory plans to support our supply chain goals, enabling our supply planners to meet sales and service objectives. You’ll play a key role in driving improvements to forecasting processes and collaborating across sales, marketing, finance, and customer support.
What you will be doing
* Developing and updating 12-month forecasts for various product types within your assigned brands.
* Managing and maintaining the forecasting tool (Optimiza) to generate accurate, data-driven forecasts informed by statistical models and market insights.
* Tracking monthly sales performance and adjusting forecasts as needed to ensure targets are met.
* Leading regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement in key metrics, such as forecast accuracy, through root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
* Integrating new SKU requirements, including upcoming vehicle models, into the forecast process.
* Conducting range reviews to assess demand and refine product mix, collaborating with stakeholders as needed.
* Evaluating the impact of non-supply scenarios and suggesting alternative SKUs when necessary, with retrospective analysis.
* Partnering with manufacturers on new and obsolete products, building monthly supplier orders, and ensuring compliance with sign-off protocols.
* Working with manufacturers and internal teams to maximize OTIF (on-time, in-full) and ensure optimal stock availability.
* Coordinating with the Buying team to align commercial agreements with forecast and order needs.
* Responding promptly to internal and external inquiries.
About you
* Experience: You have 2+ years of experience in demand planning or purchasing with a strong understanding of forecasting tools and methods. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
* Communication Skills: You’re adept at building rapport with team members, manufacturers, and various stakeholders to foster collaboration and mutual goals.
* Problem-Solving: You’re proactive and innovative, always looking for new ways to improve and streamline processes, while staying attentive to detailed, day-to-day operations.
* Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial in this role, and you pride yourself on maintaining high levels of precision in your work.
* Time Management: You can handle multiple priorities, work effectively under deadlines, and manage time to support key business objectives.
