The Vacancy
PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR (6month FTC)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role involves assisting in the processing of payroll for both the Wates and SES weekly and monthly payroll schemes, covering approximately 4,000 employees. The successful candidate will work within a team environment, ensuring the timely and accurate administration of payroll functions while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the processing of payroll for both weekly and monthly payroll schemes.
2. Input and process new starters efficiently and accurately.
3. Support the payroll team in managing the case management system, ensuring timely responses in accordance with agreed SLAs.
4. Process sickness and absences accurately and in line with company policies.
5. Liaise closely with HR Operations on all relevant payroll activities.
6. Assist in reporting requirements, including ONS (Office for National Statistics) and GAYE (Give As You Earn) reporting.
Essential Criteria:
1. High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
2. Ability to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels, both in written and verbal forms.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Basic knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
