GROUP DEALERSHIP ACCOUNTANT Stephen James BMW & MINI Group is looking for a detailed Group Dealership Accountant to join our busy Accounts team to oversee and optimise our financial operations. YOUR ROLE. As a Group Dealership Accountant, you will oversee the financial operations for our five BMW & MINI locations. Your role will involve managing accounts across various departments, including vehicle sales, service, parts, and bodyshop. You will ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records while supporting compliance-related matters. The main duties of the role include. Prepare, review, and submit accurate monthly financial accounts Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller on monthly submissions to BMW UK and our parent company, producing detailed reports. Reconcile bank statements and nominal ledger accounts, producing comprehensive monthly reports. Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Monitor and oversee vehicle stock books, daily bank payments, and cashflow reviews. Evaluate dealership performance to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities Updating and maintaining the asset register. Acting as the key liaison for internal and external audits. Submitting quarterly VAT returns accurately and on time. YOUR PROFILE. Ideally you will be either part or fully qualified with an Accountancy qualification (ACA/AAT/CIMA/Equivalent) or with experience to this effect Motor-trade experience is essential preferable with a good working knowledge of Kerridge/Drive being preferable Proficiency in Excel experience, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables) Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team ABOUT US.
