Our team works as trusted Finance partners to Retail, the largest division within Lloyds Banking Group, providing cost partnering, key analysis, and insights to support Retail in operating efficiently and effectively for its customers.
The key responsibility of the Senior Finance Cost Partner is to act as a trusted advisor to LBG Retail CFA and COO Teams, providing commercial insight and challenge to support their business objectives. This role reports to the Head of Retail Cost Partnering.
As Finance Partners, we monitor, anticipate, and assess potential future impacts on the business. We demonstrate curiosity and an understanding of the commercial drivers to tell a clear story behind performance and to formulate compelling business cases to meet changing customer needs.
Day to day, you'll:
* Contribute to setting and delivering business goals through key decision support
* Lead the direction, content, and insight of financial and commercial performance
* Interpret and present management reports to senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and relevance
* Enhance cost data and insights; drive proactive analysis
* Collaborate across teams to prepare forecasts, including quarterly and 4-year plans, highlighting risks and opportunities
* Engage with Platform and Segment teams on strategic projects and investment benefits, ensuring efficient investments and alignment of benefits and objectives
What you’ll need:
* Commercial understanding and thinking
* Curiosity and innovative mindset
* Ownership and collaboration skills
* Strong communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information
* Analytical skills with good judgment
Useful experience includes:
* Qualified or final-year accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
* Stakeholder management experience
* Ability to deliver accurately and collaboratively at pace, considering wider factors
