Self-employed female Personal Assistant in Lancaster
A self-employed PA is required to support a kind, humorous and intelligent adult woman with a mental illness to remain independent in her own home. She is currently supported by an experienced PA and her partner. She is capable of meeting her daily needs if prompted and supported e.g. she can dress herself but needs reminding and help to choose an outfit.
This post will suit a patient, understanding, empathetic and non-judgemental person who has a positive outlook on life. LGBT+ friendly is a must.
The client requires support with the following tasks:
• Prompts to take medication
• Support with daily living tasks such as prompting to get dressed and eat meals
• Supporting shopping for and cooking some meals
• Accompanying the client to medical appointments when needed (within
walking distance).
• Encouraging the client to access the community for leisure or social activities.
• Support maintaining the home.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Car driver with access to own vehicle preferred but not essential.
Required hours are roughly (some flexibility available):
Monday - 10.30am-12.30pm
Tuesdays - 4pm-6pm
Thursday - 4pm-6pm
Friday - 10.30am-12.30pm
Must have a recent, clear enhanced DBS. Must provide evidence of current liability insurance, UTR number and be able to provide regular invoices. Payments will be made electronically.
