We are looking for an enthusiastic Capital Analyst student to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Manufacturing Support business unit in Huddersfield. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 9 th June 2025. Responsibilities In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Support the Capital Manager to run internal systems to ensure clear understanding of current capital expenditure, coordinating input from all functions worldwide Support the Capital Manager to run the capital forecast process and business functions to manage capital allocation / risks and exposures Ensure timely reporting of capital status both within Cummins Components and Software (CCS) and onward line leadership Respond to short notice capital requirements (create analysis, reports / presentations for stakeholders) Work closely with worldwide finance functions in CCS to support project work and the day-to-day administration of capital management systems Understanding new business requirements, support improvement and undertake a post investment audit Qualifications To be successful in this role you will need the following: Working towards a Degree in either Business or Accounting ideally with a background in Finance or Business Processes, databases, systems operation and analysis Previous experience within a manufacturing or commercial environment would be an advantage, particularly with data analysis responsibilities A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. An understanding of Power BI would be advantageous, however full training would be provided.
