Jenrick are working with a leading Food Manufacturer in Derby. They require:
1. 1 x Site Based Maintenance Engineer
2. 1 x Field Service Maintenance Engineer
There may be some crossover between the 2 roles.
Salary: £38 to £40k depending on experience
Shift: 6am to 3.30pm Mon-Fri
The Role
1. Provide engineering support to the business to ensure compliance with legislative standards.
2. Provide technical support to the projects team whenever called upon.
3. Follow Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
4. Complete the scheduled PPMs as they arrive.
5. Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) activities and support initiatives to improve efficiencies.
6. Ensure that the Retail Maintenance Manager is made fully aware of any maintenance issues that will significantly impact performance.
7. Identify critical spares for bakery equipment and procure approved spares from suppliers, ensuring that a best value approach is adhered to.
8. Focus on a proactive approach towards manufacturing to minimize the potential downtime of equipment.
9. Provide scheduled cover throughout the business to support production plans that minimize the requirement for callouts.
10. Respond to breakdowns and work in partnership with operations to ensure that all engineering works are completed promptly, efficiently, and to the required standard.
11. Develop planned preventative maintenance schedules for all key equipment/machinery.
12. Proactively engage with all areas of the business to foster harmonious teamwork.
13. Actively champion and adhere to Health & Safety / Food Safety practices to ensure a safe working environment.
14. Mentor and provide support to apprentices within the business.
15. Keep maintenance logs and report of daily activities.
16. Manage relationships with suppliers, service partners, and contractors to ensure best practices are adhered to.
17. Conduct inspections of plant and equipment to maintain food safety integrity and health & safety compliance.
Qualifications Needed
1. 17th/18th Edition
2. Experience leading or commissioning projects
3. Food Hygiene Certification (preferred)
4. IOSH/NEBOSH (or something similar, preferred)
5. Working with PLCs
