As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll work alongside our experienced engineering team, including Engineering Manager, Senior Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Tender Managers. You’ll gain full exposure to how engineering contributes to the successful delivery of projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your understanding of the industry and gain knowledge of operational engineering. To aid your understanding, we will provide you with the opportunity to get hands-on experience on our vessels and see first-hand how Reach Subsea contributes to the Energy transition.
Your role in the project is to develop installation methodologies in accordance with industry guidelines and rules, identify and mitigate risks, perform analysis to prove the methodology is valid, establish operational criteria, liaise with specialist consultants, produce detailed work instructions, and provide operational support.
Essentially: Come up with an idea; prove it works; tell everyone how it works; and be there when it happens.
The key responsibilities where you will participate and gain experience:
1. Work with an experienced team to learn and contribute to subsea construction and decommissioning projects performed by Remote Operated Vehicles launched from Reach Subsea’s purpose-built construction vessels.
2. Provide technical support to the tendering team: Develop outline methods; liaise with suppliers for costs; work with planning to schedule operations; estimate the documentation and engineering required to perform the scope.
3. Perform and/or manage installation analysis to determine environmental and operational conditions for the scope.
4. Perform and/or manage structural design for installation equipment onboard the construction vessel.
5. Liaise with, and learn from, specialist suppliers and provide input to select the best supplier for each scope of work.
6. Produce detailed work instructions, liaise with operational personnel, and identify potential risks and hazards for each step of the operations.
7. Provide on-site support to the operations crew onboard the construction vessel.
The key qualifications and skills we are looking for:
1. A Bachelor’s or Master's degree related to Engineering.
2. A proactive approach to problem solving.
3. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
4. A self-motivated team member that takes ownership of tasking whilst operating collaboratively within a team.
