Physiotherapy Assistant Band 3
We are seeking two enthusiastic and reliable Physiotherapy Assistants to join our in-patient physiotherapy team at Epsom and St. Helier Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, assisting physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care across a variety of hospital wards, including critical care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist physiotherapists in delivering patient care, including rehabilitative and mobility work, both on hospital wards and in critical care settings.
* Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physiotherapist.
* Perform administrative tasks, including inputting patient data into hospital systems.
* Maintain and manage physiotherapy equipment by cleaning, sorting, and recycling.
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.
* Be involved in other essential duties as required.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
* Good Education GCSE 4-9
* Evidence of strong IT skills
* Experience in an acute hospital therapy department including work with elderly patients
* Care Certificate initiation/completion
Skills and Knowledge
* Good organisational skills
* Demonstrates a good knowledge of the role of the physiotherapist
* Good communication
