Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic nurse with experience in genetics and/or cardiovascular disease, especially working with Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH) patients, to deliver FH service across Cheshire and Merseyside. They will work in partnership with the Consultant Clinical, Lead FH Nurse, Innovation Agency and other key stakeholders and will be expected to demonstrate professional initiative, independence and autonomy in the development of FH services across the locality. They will be part of a team developing and implementing a family cascade, audit and diagnostic service for the identification and management of individuals with FH and have responsibility for delivering clinics, counselling and organising biochemical and genetic tests, and provision of treatment. They will be expected to manage and deliver expert clinical practice, providing specialist advice and support to those patients and families with suspected FH There will be an expectation that they will work with primary care staff, consultant physicians, consultant nurse, nurse specialists and other related professionals to develop high levels of care for patients with FH.
