We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to help in leading and developing the musculoskeletal service at Maidstone Hospital. A key component of this role will be to work the the clinical manager and outpatient team leaders to develop and implement strategies to help meet the needs of patients waiting for our service. The successful applicant will be a clinician with experience at a band 7 level and provides high quality, clinically effective and person centred Physiotherapy assessment and intervention.
Main duties of the job
We receive consultant referrals with a heavy bias towards Orthopaedics. The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills and recent NHS experience. Previous experience in service development is desired. The friendly and busy Physiotherapy team takes pride in its commitment to patient focussed care. The department offers a friendly and supportive working environment which actively supports Continuing Professional Development, through an established appraisal system, in-service training, and post graduate library facilities.

Essential criteria
1. Diploma / degree in physiotherapy
2. Health Professions Council Registration
3. Specialist neuro musculoskeletal knowledge and experience at post graduate level.
4. Commitment to advance clinical and professional development
Desirable criteria
5. Relevant validated clinical courses
6. Member of a Neuro-musculoskeletal Special Interest Group
Experience & knowledge
Essential criteria
7. Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience, including working for a minimum of 2 years at Senior/Band 6, or equivalent level in neuro musculoskeletal specialty.
8. Supervisory experience. Previous experience of managing junior staff & supervision of students
9. Experience of working within the NHS or equivalent setting
10. High level of clinical knowledge in musculoskeletal field
