We are seeking a fully qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with a focus on managing audits from planning to completion, to play a key role in the audit and assurance team.
The role:
This audit and assurance team is the largest within the organization, employing a substantial number of professionals, including several senior auditors. Although the team is based in the North-East, they cater to a diverse clientele across the UK, encompassing various sectors such as technology, public infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing, and professional services.
Their client portfolio includes both small businesses and large multinational companies. The team is known for its commitment to delivering top-notch service and technical expertise, fostering enduring client relationships through their dedicated approach.

Key Duties:
10. Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high quality audit and assurance service, including preparing and reviewing audit plans and work.
11. Plan staffing and resource for audit assignments.
12. Manage the progress of jobs, ensure that budgets are met, address any problems that are encountered to ensure that the audit is finished within budget and timeframe.
13. Review and sign off audit the audit file and address any problems or queries before passing it to the Partner for review.
14. Identify ways to maximise the relationship with the client and deliver added value.
15. Coach and develop audit staff to develop their knowledge.
You will have:
16. ACA or ACCA fully qualified with practice experience
17. Proven experience leading onsite audits from planning to completion
18. Excellent accounts preparation and audit completion skills
19. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ideally CaseWare
20. Success in leading junior staff
21. Strong technical knowledge, especially FRS 102
22. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
23. Client-focused and commercially aware
24. Team player with problem-solving abilities
