Are you a proactive and experienced People Services Manager with a strong background in payroll and colleague lifecycle support? We are looking for a People Services Manager to join our team at the RAC and drive the delivery of first-class People Support Services. This is a critical role in ensuring that we provide an excellent colleague experience whilst also managing payroll and onboarding services. You will have the ability to work within a fast-paced environment and have the capability to continuously improve service delivery implementing automation and supporting with systems improvement. If you are a detail-oriented People Services professional with the ability to lead and engage a team, we would love to hear from you Key Responsibilities Ensure the outsourced payroll and HR administration services are delivered in line with agreed SLAs and compliance standards, while maintaining a great colleague experience. Oversee the accurate and timely monthly payroll process, ensuring compliance with audit and reporting standards. Manage support service standards, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance service delivery. Responsible for the delivery of onboarding services including pre-employment screening and maintaining high standards of screening across the business Maintain excellent knowledge of payroll and HR legislation to ensure services are delivered in a compliant way Maintain service-related documentation for internal and customer-facing use, ensuring clarity and adherence to processes. Develop the People Support team, including personal development and training plans to ensure we maximise skills and engagement across the team Support policy change implementation through people systems and processes. Completion of month and year end payroll processes including reconciliation and dealing with any related HMRC enquiries Provide guidance on People Support implications of business changes, ensuring compliance with tax, legislation, and internal policies. Key Skills & Experience Strong knowledge of in-house and outsourced payroll provisions. Experience in operational people management. Confidence to challenge and influence key business decision-makers. Proficiency in payroll reconciliation. Experience with Resource Link is desirable. Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills with an analytical mindset. Understanding of risk and control requirements.
