Role Description:
As a Class Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality Food Technology instruction, guiding students towards achieving relevant accreditation's and qualifications.
You will design and implement lessons in alignment with DFE guidelines and school policies. Daily classroom management, including supervision of a Teaching Assistant, will be part of your duties. You'll also be responsible for applying school policies, especially those related to safeguarding and equality, and closely monitoring the health and well-being of students, reporting any concerns to the appropriate teams and professionals.

* Create a safe, nurturing environment that supports the development of SEN/ASD learners.
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that foster engaging and enjoyable learning experiences.
* Adapt resources to meet the needs of individual students, ensuring accessibility for all.
* Provide quality feedback to students to promote effective progress.
* Contribute to the development of essential skills such as Maths, English, and life skills.
* Uphold high standards of behaviour and learning.
* Prepare and deliver lessons that lead to recognised accreditation or qualifications.
* Inspire and motivate students through effective teaching.
* Use regular assessments to monitor student progress and set targets.
* Maintain accurate student data to enhance teaching effectiveness.
* Positively contribute to the school community, reflecting Aurora's values.
Candidate Requirements:
Successful candidates will likely demonstrate:
* Qualified Teacher Status
* Strong knowledge of the curriculum and adaptation for SEN pupils
* Experience working with young people with ASD
* Preferable experience in delivering BTEC home cooking or similar courses
* Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures
* Ability to build and maintain nurturing relationships with students
* Experience managing various learning approaches, including students with anxiety
* Knowledge of strategies to engage reluctant learners
* Flexibility and creativity in teaching methods
