A day in the life of…
As Front Office Supervisor, you will assist the Manager by supervising all aspects of your team, as well as assist overseeing any events within the hotel. You will maintain consistent standards of service, ensuring guest satisfaction whilst creating a working environment that supports our values.
The Front Office Supervisor will be responsible to support the strategic initiatives and objectives of the Front Office Department.
The function should be supportive, proactive, analytical and entrepreneurial; creating memorable moments for our guests, fostering an empowered environment for the team whilst collaborating closely with their immediate report and key business partners in order to deliver quality results.
The job incumbent acts as an ambassador for the brand, reflecting the company culture and values.
All work is carried out in accordance with company corporate policies, procedures and service concepts according to local requirements and regulations.
Based in the Mercure York Fairfield Manor, you will be part of a small (but mighty!) team of passionate people who know that being the best doesn’t always mean working around the clock.
What do we need from you?
To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience and living through our brand standards. Minimum requirements include:
* Proven experience in a front office position, ideally within a hotel environment
* Ability to adapt to changing service environments
* Good leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
* Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
* Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
* Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence
* Strong communication and listening skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across functions and cultures
* Skilled with Microsoft Office software, especially in Excel
* An open, communicative personality to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
