Multi Skilled Operative

Job Type: Full time - Permanent role - 42.5 hours per week

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our growing team on a full-time permanent basis.

About the role:
Part of a local team undertaking high standard Multi Trade repairs and refurbishment activities to Housing properties delivering best in class customer service and satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.
You will have a certified core trade of joinery and complement this with the ability to deliver additional trade activities in support of completing repair/refurbishment works on time and to a high standard in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures.
Take ownership in undertaking construction, fault finding and maintenance repairs aiming for a first-time completion whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
Ensure that the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with service users, clients, and both internal/external stakeholders. This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, condition of vehicles, and maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety requirements. It may be necessary where requested to obtain customer feedback on completion of works.
Process all activities in association with tasks/works electronically utilizing a handheld device (PDA). This includes but is not limited to Worksheets, timesheets, photographic evidence of works before, during, and after, van stock replenishment, booking of annual leave, vehicle inspections, safeguarding issues, risk assessments, and method statements.
Keep all supplied company assets in good condition in line with the company policies and report to your Supervisor/Manager where damages occur.
Utilize existing stock or collect materials as and when required to meet works order requirements, in accordance with standard operating procedures for purchasing and van stock control compliance.
Key Criteria:
* Joinery qualification NVQ 2
* Core code in joinery and ideally experience in Glazing and other trades
* UPVC window and door repairs
* Locksmith experience
* IT literate
* Good communication skills
* Experience in social housing repair work
* UK full driving license
