We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Dietitian to join our team, specialising in supporting pregnant women living with obesity. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both prenatal nutrition and the complexities of obesity management.
The newly funded Maternal Weight Management Service (MWMS), will sit within the wider Weight Management Service (WMS) which includes both an Adult and Child service. We are excited to be developing the service further with development of the MWMS.
The successful candidate will be adept at offering empathetic support and guidance, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs while promoting overall well-being and a healthy pregnancy.
The post holder will lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of the specialist maternal obesity service as part of the wider WMS team. They will be expected to work independently, offering one-to-one Dietetic clinics, group sessions, and provide expert support as part of the multidisciplinary team offering specialist services for patients living with maternal obesity.
The individual must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the management of patients in this specialist area and will be instrumental in leading on the development and use of evidence-based principles in a patient-centred way.
The individual will promote and coordinate a specialist and versatile service that can be delivered via face-to-face support and virtually.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
