The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of Site Supervisor for the Springboard Project.
NJC Scale: 4 SCP 7-11
Salary: £25,584 - £27,269 per annum (full time/full year salary)
Hours: 36 hours 40 minutes per week/Full year
Shifts: Working with Premises manager either 7-3 or 8.30-4.30 (Flexible)
Starting: 1st April 2025
Part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust, The Springboard Project, based in Oldham town centre, provides high quality, innovative alternative educational experiences for pupils and students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties) across the 14-19 age range.
The Trustees are now looking to appoint a Site Supervisor to work as part of the Premises Team in flexibly providing support, maintenance and general security across all the New Bridge school sites in Oldham.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Experience in carrying out maintenance and daily repairs e.g. painting & decorating, general minor repairs (plumbing, carpentry and tiling), unblocking drains, fitting of shelves and other duties relevant to the post.
* Experience of unlocking and locking school buildings each day, acting as key holder and responding to call outs as required.
* Experience in monitoring fire safety equipment and assisting with carrying out fire drills, responding to alarms, recording data as required by management, and recommending improvements to safety where necessary.
* Experience of team-working to work effectively with others and meeting deadlines and goals.
* Communication skills to deliver polite, courteous and efficient customer service.
* Experience in undertaking daily checks in relation to Legionella.
* A hard working, organised and proactive approach to own personal and professional development.
* Experience of stock control, COSHH and ordering of essential janitorial materials e.g. soap, paper towels, toilet rolls, light bulbs etc. and ensure these are maintained throughout the building as required, reporting any issues immediately to the line manager.
Although based at Springboard Project, all staff are employed by the MAT and are expected to work at any site within the New Bridge Group if requested.

This post will be subject to a number of pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and proof of right to work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
