EYFS Special Needs Teacher required for special needs school.
Axcis Education is currently recruiting for an EYFS teacher to take on a full-time post on a temp to perm basis starting in January 2025. This is for a special needs school in the heart of Wiltshire. The school is looking forward to opening the new build in September and will be expanding student numbers to cater to even more vulnerable students.
Marking and planning is required, and the school has not yet decided which particular class this post will cover. The school is part of one of the largest SEN providers in the UK and is often oversubscribed. They cater to a wide range of needs, both cognitive and physical, and the site has wonderful facilities and grounds available to students, including farm animals and outdoor gardening.
Due to the school's somewhat remote location, a car driver would be ideal since buses to the school are not very frequent.
The ideal teacher will be from a primary background if not SEN, but experience in teaching SEN students is required. Confidence in the national curriculum and the ability to work with children who have recently been officially diagnosed is essential, along with effective and compassionate classroom management and an understanding of how to keep neuro-divergent students engaged in their learning.
The school offers a unique setting for children and is a brilliant SEN provider, presenting a great opportunity for a teacher looking to make a change in the new academic year. Salary will be dependent on experience and scale rate.
An enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
