Hours of work: 8:30am-5:30pm (40-hour week)
Lloret Fire Solutions have established themselves as one of the leading independently owned Fire Alarm and associated system specialists in the Southeast.
We now have an exciting new opportunity for a full-time Estimating Assistant to join our busy team.
You’ll be supporting our Estimating Team and working alongside the Sales, Projects, and Commissioning departments.
Responsibilities:
1. Log enquiries and review documentation received from prospective clients.
2. Carry out take offs and design reviews.
3. Prepare quotations in accordance with both customer and British Standard requirements and ensure tenders are accurate.
4. Carry out weekly scheduling of our active enquiries.
5. Work with the engineering team to ensure quote accuracy.
6. Ensure a timely response to internal & external queries and issues.
7. Obtain competitive written quotations from our suppliers or sub-contractors for inclusion in our tender bids.
8. Liaise with the Sales Team to prepare quotations from prospective clients.
9. Prepare cost information, profit forecast, and ensure tenders are properly collated.
10. Represent the Company at initial site meetings as deemed necessary.
11. Any other duties commensurate with your position.
Skills Required:
1. Ability to produce and read technical drawings and specifications.
2. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
3. Ability to use Bluebeam Revu (PDF) software for tender take offs and overall measure of works.
4. Use of Microsoft Teams data collection applications.
5. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Ability to work with a variety of contractors, architects, and other personnel.
7. Creative thinking with the ability to see and implement practical solutions.
8. Experience working with Microsoft Office.
9. Ability to modify and update Microsoft Excel workbooks is essential.
10. Flexible and adaptable to change.
11. Quotation feedback chasing and recording.
Experience Required:
1. BS5839 all parts – experience in applying design spacing and overall recommendations of the codes of practice.
2. Design and costing of new Fire Alarm installations including the use of Advanced MXPro5, Apollo & Hochiki equipment and associated systems.
3. Worked within the fire alarm estimating sector.
