We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, who is interested in joining our friendly multidisciplinary team supporting people with complex mental health problems- psychosis and bipolar.

In this post, you will be working closely alongside other professionals (OT, nurses, doctors) providing support and interventions focused on improving the lives of individuals with complex and enduring mental health problems in the community. The service is a dedicated multi- disciplinary team of professionals, who aim to improve quality of life, promote hope, recovery, and individual resilience. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with individual patients, holding your own caseload, as well as join in development of group interventions and be part of family consultation service. The role also includes working closely with other professionals, supporting development of therapy skills and knowledge within the team, providing consultation to the team, alongside participating in community team assessments and crisis work.
You would be a member of a friendly and supportive ICMP team which is based at the Erith Centre, with a free car park and access to local shops.
You would have access to regular individual supervision as well as specialist supervision groups (e.g. EMDR, CBTp, FIP etc.) depending on your specialist training. There are regular psychological therapies training events, and the Trust is highly supportive of staff accessing further specialist training such as CBTp, FIP and EMDR.

You would have the opportunity to work with a wide spectrum of clients with differing levels of need and severity and at different life stages (excluding first episode psychosis). You would have opportunity to develop skills in delivering a variety of interventions depending on clients needs and presenting difficulties.
