Job Description:
An amazing new job has arisen for a committed Senior Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional service based in the Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers.
This service provides specialist neuro-behavioral rehabilitation for those with an acquired brain injury (ABI), including traumatic brain injury (TBI) and stroke, or a progressive neurological condition (PNC).
To be considered for this position you must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide a high-quality service that meets the needs of the patient groups on our busy forensic wards.
2. Manage members of the therapy team, oversee service provision in a variety of areas, and provide supervision to junior staff.
3. Deliver a range of innovative interventions that motivate and engage individuals to improve their occupational skills and mental wellbeing.
4. Assess, intervene, and evaluate progress in line with MDT care plans.
5. Find new and creative ways to work with clients with a range of presenting difficulties.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. Experience of inpatient mental health adult services or equivalent.
2. Clear understanding of the Occupational Therapy assessment process.
3. Evidence of continuous professional development.
4. Experience of delegating tasks from team lead.
5. Supporting service development and improvement.
The successful Senior Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £35,392 – £42,618 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
