We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Elsie Inglis.
Our Bright Horizons Elsie Inglis is situated centrally in the heart of Edinburgh and is a short 10 minute walk from Waverley Station, with local bus routes also nearby, with parking on site.
The nursery is a 65 place setting located in a single-storey building in the former Elsie Inglis Memorial Maternity Hospital, backing onto Holyrood Park in central Edinburgh.

What you’ll be doing
10. Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
11. Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
12. Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
13. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
14. Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
15. Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
What we’re looking for
16. Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
17. Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
18. Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
19. Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
20. Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
21. Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
