My client is looking for a Development Planner to work on their large regeneration project, providing planning advice to help achieve wider team objectives and facilitate success.
We will look to you to assist and, where appropriate, lead in the preparation, submission, and management of a varied planning application caseload. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure Project Briefs are delivered in a timely manner, that strategic objectives are met, and that you procure and coordinate professional consultants, managing their output to successful conclusions. Additionally, you will author technical Town Planning reports for both internal and external audiences.
You will principally work within the planning team, but you will also be expected to work closely with other specialisms within the One Horton Heath team.
About You
You will have a good understanding of Town Planning and preferably be a Chartered or Licentiate Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. You will have demonstrable experience in the preparation and management of planning applications, along with a good working knowledge of planning and design standards, legislation, and guidance.
One of the projects is predominantly housing-led development, so experience in the residential sector is desirable.
You will be able to manage a diverse workload and work in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver planning outcomes in a proactive and timely manner. You will be expected to project manage a diverse consultancy team and communicate findings to colleagues, key stakeholders, and, where necessary, the public both clearly and effectively.
This role is well-suited to individuals looking to build upon existing experience in the planning sector, with the ambition to progress and work toward a more challenging caseload and gain greater experience in the delivery of a large-scale construction project.
