It is essential to maintain these facilities to high standards and ensure that any repairs, renovations, or damages are addressed swiftly. Your role You will complete general building maintenance and home repairs within a cluster of homes. Regular maintenance projects will include but are not limited to replacing bathrooms and kitchens, laying floors, replacing windows and doors, and identifying and fixing fundamental plumbing/ electrical issues. Your role will include regular travel in our company vehicle, so a full manual driving licence is essential. What we can offer you A salary of £30,000 to £33,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. Full-time roles are 40 hours per week. You will receive 5.6 weeks of annual leave per annum. Essential Skills and Experience Time spent in a trade with diverse multi-trade experience. Strong project management and planning abilities, including organisation of external contractors where required. Experience in a reactive setting where swift problem-solving and effective project management are essential. Excellent communication skills. Full UK manual driving licence. Good understanding of the regulations and compliance requirements for children's homes and schools and the ability to articulate what work is required considering the needs of a children's home or school and the regulatory framework within which they operate. Competent in the use of IT equipment and all Microsoft packages. Previous experience in fire door maintenance and fitting. Desirable Skills and Experience Prior involvement in building maintenance tasks, ideally within residential properties, care homes, or schools. Experienced in plumbing. Experience in general building maintenance. Experience in painting and decorating. Experience in joinery. Qualifications in minor electrical work. Qualifications & Certificates Possession of relevant trade qualifications. Fire Door installation and repair qualification. Relevant Health and Safety certificates.
