The Vacancy
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Industrial Automation Lead to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of cutting-edge automation systems. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure seamless integration of advanced technologies. Main Areas of Responsibility
* Develop project’s business case in terms of scope, timeline, responsibilities, stakeholders, and deliverables.
* Draw detailed technical specifications and acceptance criteria.
* Collaborate with other business units to understand how automation can improve workflow.
* Simulate and test automated machinery and methods.
* Assist maintenance team with troubleshooting PLC/computer systems.
* Identify HSE and security project impact assessments.
* Participate in Factory, Site, and User Acceptance Testing.
* Ensure coherent communication plans.
* Prepare status reports including timeliness, resourcing, quality, and budget variances.
* Ensure business continuity throughout the project lifecycle.
* Promote a safe and healthy workplace, including environmental, health, and safety standards, and adhere to De La Rue policies and guidelines, especially regarding EHS and Code of Business Principles.
* Embrace Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence principles.

* Participate in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain records of training and development activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Deep understanding of hardware, software, systems, and networks.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Proficiency in computer programming and software development.
* Ability to troubleshoot and test various solutions.
* Critical thinking skills for developing practical automation solutions.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Solid understanding of engineering principles and infrastructural works.
* Degree in engineering science.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Project Management tools.
* Good time and budget management skills.
* Team-building skills.
* Attention to detail and pursuit of excellence.
* English language proficiency: C1 or higher.
Ideally, candidates will also have:
* Proven project management experience.
* Prince 2 Practitioner certification (considered an asset).
