An exciting opportunity has risen to join our Business Transformation team as an Enterprise PMO Manager here at Covéa Insurance. The Transformation team plays a pivotal role in leading and executing strategic initiatives on behalf of the Executive Team aimed at enhancing our business, adapting to changing market conditions, implementing emerging technologies and ultimately, achieving our strategic plan. The role is a hybrid role, therefore will involve a mix of working from home and from our Halifax office. What will I be doing? Leading the Portfolio function by working with stakeholders to ensure that the portfolio of projects is clearly defined and aligned to the company strategy Managing the ‘front door’ to project delivery, owning the triaging and prioritisation processes to build clear oversight of the change portfolio and value creation Owning the end-to-end delivery framework and working closely with Delivery Managers to ensure all projects are adequately budgeted, resourced and in line with governance process Working closely with the Director of Transformation and wider transformation team to ensure portfolio activity is aligned to the strategic agenda Managing end-to-end portfolio reporting, providing comprehensive visibility into delivery execution and value realisation at portfolio level Driving best practice and providing support/coaching to managers within and outside of the Transformation team, whilst providing clear communication of strategy to ensure engagement & celebration of successes Providing delivery assurance and supporting annual audit of projects by undertaking regular reviews of key strategic projects to ensure they are well managed and will deliver the expected outcomes Managing conflicts within the portfolio including costs, resources, constraints and dependencies You should apply if you have… Extensive experience of project and programme management including experience of running a project portfolio or PMO function Ability to ‘make things happen’ and lead a well-organised and empowered team with a positive attitude Demonstrable experience of industry standard portfolio and programme office processes, including evidence of creating strong reporting Evidence of building high-performing teams with a culture of collaboration Experience of running project/programme governance processes and managing complex projects Excellent interpersonal, written communication, persuasive and presentation skills with an ability to communicate detail in an accessible and engaging manner Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a portfolio management function and providing portfolio services in a corporate environment Experience of building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships Professional qualifications in Project Management are preferred but not essential We understand that some candidates may be hesitant to apply for a position if they do not meet all the criteria listed in the job description.
