Door Supervisor
Reports to: Manager
Direct Reports: None
Area of Business: Wine Inns
Purpose
To oversee Door Admission policy and to adhere and comply with all Door Supervisors guidelines.
Responsibilities
1. To greet customers in a welcoming and friendly manner
2. To prevent drunkenness and rowdiness on the premises
3. To prevent glasses and bottles being removed from the premises
4. To be in attendance at the front door unless otherwise instructed by the Manager
5. To be courteous to customers when clearing premises at closing time
6. To handle confrontation as discreetly as possible
7. To complete Incident Report Forms when necessary
8. To ensure that a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance is maintained at all times
9. Any duties relevant and related to the post
Educational Qualifications
1. Educated to secondary level standard
2. Completion of Door Supervisor's course is desirable
Skills and Experience
1. Six months previous experience in a customer focused environment is desirable
2. A basic knowledge of First Aid and Fire Safety is desirable
3. Good listener
4. Friendly and courteous
5. Patient
6. Good team player
Main Points of Contact - Internal and External
1. Other staff in the premises
2. All members of the public using the premises
Other Relevant Information
1. Flexible regarding hours of work
2. Completion of Door Supervisors course is essential within probationary period
3. Willing to undergo and obtain a favourable criminal record check
