We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital System Engineerwith excellent Microsoft server (Azure) VDI, and networking skill. Theideal candidate will be experienced in transitioning organisations into theAzure cloud environment with the ability to supervise and mentor technicalcolleagues.
The role plays a crucial role in driving the organisation'stechnological capabilities and ensuring the seamless delivery of IT services,contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the business operations.
The permanent full-time post is based on hours per weekin accordance with the needs of the business.
Salary £40, 000 per annum.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Digital System Engineer will be an experiencedtechnical engineer, with excellent Microsoft server (Azure), VDI, andnetworking skills. The role holder will be experienced in transitioningorganisations into the Azure cloud environment with the ability to superviseand mentor technical colleagues.
The role holder will provide expert technical assistance forMastercalls cloud infrastructure, systems, networking, and communicationsrequirements and will play a pivotal role in overseeing and mentoring our teamof engineers.

Job description
Job responsibilities
This non-exclusive list of duties which follows represents the range of of tasks which may be required to be undertaken routinely or periodically.
Design and implement of data networks cloud VoIP solutions wireless networks and or IT infrastructure solutions.
Responsible for the timely expansion of the IT Infrastructure as required by operations services project plan.
Responsible for maintaining a resilient cloud infrastructure
Supervise and manage a team of Digital System Engineers to support the user base and It networks server communication equipment.
Provides servers core switches firewall and routers support and administration.
Perform periodic network assessments and network systems security audits
Routinely inspect processes and ways of working and engage with the senior management team to ensure the team is in a continuously improving posture
Plan and implement upgrades required to maintain adequate service levels
Participate in the administration and maintenance of all remote monitoring solutions and infrastructure management systems
Responsible for the recruitment training supervision and scheduling of IT infrastructure personnel to ensure technical support is always available
Manage technical vendors contractors and infrastructure consultants. Plan and implement service SLA and IT Infrastructure

Experience
Essential
1. Understanding of systems and Network administration, TCP/IP Switching, Routing, and Security.
2. Cyber Security awareness/CE+/18CIS
3. Strong technical experience in designing, implementing, monitoring a maintaining network, cloud, communication and systems infrastructure
4. Extensive knowledge of cloud: Azure, Azure VDI
5. Board knowledge of networking Cisco, Fortinet
6. Extensive experience and understanding of IT Infrastructure
7. Experience if managing an IT infrastructure team
8. Knowledge of Mobile Device Management
9. Understanding of NHS Digital Frameworks/Support Services.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
