Description
Our established Finance team are now looking for a motivated and analytical Accounts Assistant to support the daily operations of the business. This role will involve processing and maintaining accurate financial records as well as being responsible for the Sales Ledger.
Excitingly, this position will also give the right person the opportunity to prepare, analyse and manipulate a range of data and reporting, that will directly support the firm to make more informed financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare regular reports for the finance team, Fee Earners and Clients, offering specific and in-depth analysis when needed
* Provide support to the credit control team, including Sales Ledger activities as well as issuing invoices and credit notes to clients
* Help and advise our support teams on best practice in relation to billing, as well as work with different departments to create a collaborative and supportive environment
* Reconcile the case management system reports to the accounts system
* Download and manage large data sets from the case management system
* Respond to both internal and external enquiries in relation to our invoicing and reporting
* Provide administrative support to the accounts team
* Managing own and team inboxes
* Creating and submitting electronic billing files
* Working with spreadsheets
* Enter and code financial transactions appropriately
* Validate invoices against items or services received
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who has an aptitude for working with a variety of complex procedures, and to tight deadlines. The ideal candidate would have:
* AAT Level 2 qualified or equivalent experience
* Experience gained within an Accounts / Finance role, particularly working with Sales Ledger, Invoicing and Data
* Strong Excel Literacy, with the ability to work with and manipulate data to produce reporting effectively; coupled with excellent IT skills
* Great attention to detail and focus on accuracy
* Excellent numeracy skills, with an analytical approach
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise clearly with Fee earners and Clients, as well as interdepartmentally
