Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month fixed term position as a Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The post is based at Glangwili General Hospital in Carmarthen and travel to other sites is expected. Main duties of the job Supervision of all admissions to the Wards, Clinical investigation, diagnosis and treatment of all patients admitted to Obstetrics & Gynaecology Wards well as assisting the Consultants in running the Outpatient Clinics. The post holder will participate in regular audit meetings and postgraduate teaching sessions held by the appropriate Consultants. You will be required to work in close cooperation and liaison with colleagues both within and outside of the organisation, as appropriate, in multi professional and multidisciplinary team environments. Maintaining a high standard of note-keeping Communication with other staff. Presentations at weekly and clinical case conferences, carrying out audits and involvement in teaching junior staff and other professionals.
