You will be part of Business Technology Services (BTS) team, and you will help deliver the departments overall objectives in the short and long term. You will collaborate with solution architecture, service delivery, project delivery and business counterparts, to ensure that the applications are supported & projects are delivered to the highest standards. Responsibilities will include: Overseeing the daily operations of the BTS portfolios and ensuring that systems are running smoothly. Develop and document KPIs and standards that meet the organisation's needs. Develop and implement policies, procedures and processes to improve IT operations and increase efficiency and productivity. Manage technology vendors and service providers to ensure that the organisation's technology needs are met. Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems that improve IT infrastructure and support the organisation's business goals. Lead a team of IT professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting their goals and objectives. Maintaining a strong understanding of the organisation's business needs and work closely with other departments to ensure that IT is aligned with those needs. Communicate at all levels across the business to garner requirements for the implementation of strategy and feed back on progress. Ensuring that the organisation's IT policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with industry standards and company regulations. Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and developments in IT operations management. Assess system performance and recommend improvements. Provide support and guidance across the business and externally. Liaise with IT service desk to facilitate robust service support for new and upgraded application solutions. Facilitate productive relationships with and between key stakeholders, during the planning and implementation of business change. Ensure that project and business application support documentation is maintained. Accountabilities of role Responsible for application support and continuous improvement taking into account functional and non-functional requirements. Work with staff/implementation partners/contractors to coordinate the development/implementation of services/application/component. Validate system and integration testing. Implementing IT quality assurance practices and procedures. About You Proven experience as ERP Operations Manager. Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis, ideally across a variety of ERP systems. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of IT professionals and drive performance. Experience of working in large scale and complex ERP environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members; senior and key stakeholders. Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks and systems to effectively manage and troubleshoot issues. Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile Knowledge of IT Service Management toolsets. Problem-solving aptitude. Package This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week. Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home.
