The role
As a MEAM Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering asset-based solutions as part of the wider Changing Futures, MEAM (Making Every Adult Matter) partnership team supporting individuals experiencing multiple disadvantages across the borough of Rochdale.
Our aim is to empower service users, actively engaging them with the community and helping them to support each other, to develop resilience, to live independently and to be an asset to the community.
The MEAM Approach
The MEAM Approach helps local areas design and deliver better coordinated services for people experiencing multiple disadvantages whilst considering seven principles which are adapted to local needs and circumstances.
It aims to create long term, sustainable change to the way that complex problems and systems are approached and understood and supports local areas to achieve system change by working collaboratively to address barriers for people experiencing multiple disadvantages.
The right fit You must have experience in supporting people with complex needs to overcome barriers. You'll have experience working with partners and in collaboration in order to maximise the potential of positive outcomes. Ability to deliver empowering support that promotes system change. You'll have strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to professionally challenge where appropriate. You must be able to effectively assess risk and deliver safe support to people. You'll have a commitment and passion for system change and empowering people to succeed.

Petrus provides support services for people facing homelessness or in housing need. We are a charitable organisation and deliver both drop in and residential services in Rochdale and Oldham.

Petrus provides residential and day support services to people who are homeless or in housing need. It offers a safe environment where people can develop their skills and independence to empower change.
People often find it difficult to know where to go and who to ask for help, and we try and make this as easy as possible.
We engage with individuals and start to build a relationship with them, which is key to building trust and facilitating positive choices.
We encourage individuals to access appropriate support and can refer them into housing.
