Join our team in Airdrie as a Production Planner and play a key role in optimizing our production processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards. About the Role As a Production Planner, you’ll be responsible for creating and managing daily production plans and freeze plans. Your work will ensure capacity, WIP, and material constraints are balanced with product availability requirements. This includes developing line schedules for both high-care and low-risk areas. To succeed in this role, you’ll need excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with various teams. Primary Responsibilities Production Planning: Create and maintain production plans that optimize efficiency. Frozen Plans: Develop and maintain frozen plans and communicate updates effectively. Line Schedules: Generate schedules for high-care and low-risk areas. Stock Control: Monitor finished goods, ensuring no shortages and communicating risks to commercial teams. Meetings: Attend daily/weekly planning and production meetings to provide feedback on targets and scheduling requirements. Metrics Management: Measure and report key production metrics, including conformance, adherence, and forecast accuracy. Material Coordination: Collaborate with the Materials Planner to ensure components are available to meet production demands. Support: Assist planning management as needed to improve processes and achieve objectives. Key Skills & Experience Experience: Proven track record in production scheduling within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge: Expertise in MRP systems and production systems, with a strong understanding of material flow and forecasting. Deadline-Driven: Thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Technical Skills: Proficiency in IT tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with the ability to solve complex problems.
