We are Upgrad'd Laboratories.
By fusing skincare, technology & nutrition we aim to be the most exciting beauty company in the world. Driven by a meticulous passion for evidence-led innovation we create our own products entirely from our in-house laboratory and work with global suppliers, retailers and distributors to bring our products to the market.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Graphic Designer, with a passion for design and branded marketing. You will need a few years experience under your design belt, either agency or in-house, and with a solid understanding of commercial design and marketing for both print and digital design.
Who we're looking for
Ideally, you will be an experienced design creative and artworker, motivated and enthusiastic, looking to develop your skills across a diverse range of products and marketing media. You will have a passion for design and new media, and enjoy working on new and existing brands and being proactive with developing design and assets for use both online and market-facing. You will be easy-going and relaxed around the office (we are a relaxed office environment), good with people, a team player, and confident in your abilities; also a self-starter, being able to work independently and in collaboration with other team members. At the same time, you will need to be diligent, self-motivated, and focused while working on a wide range of projects, to support the Head of Design and other marketing team members and design requirements.
You will have a design qualification (higher diploma/degree), but more importantly have the industry experience needed for this role. Experience within fashion, or branded beauty products sector would be a bonus, particularly branded packaging and marketing collateral, with the ability to work a product up into a finished branded product, be that print, packaging, POS, or online media, or creation of digital marketing assets.
You have an excellent standard of English and a high attention to detail and accuracy. You have an interest in beauty (advantage but not essential). This is a diverse role for someone with a flexible, sound design attitude, that can work well within the team.
Skills required:
1. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Acrobat, etc).
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
3. Sound knowledge of reprographic processes and print production requirements.

5. The ability to take projects from initial brief to final production ready artwork is a must.
6. An understanding, and ideally experience of Photography, videography and animation, would be an advantage.
7. Appreciation for design values and branding consistency.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to help contribute to the growing design needs of Upgrad’d Labs, and help participate in its future development. Because we are rural based, a few miles outside Gloucester City, you will need to be able to drive and reliably commute to our offices.
