Anglian Water’s purpose is to bring environmental and social prosperity to the East of England, through our commitment to Love Every Drop. Anglian Water have an ambitious £9bn 5-year capital investment programme (£2.3 bn in @one) that will provide safe and resilient water supplies, permit sustainable growth, provide climate change resilience, and protect and improve the natural environment
What you’ll do:
* Develop strong collaborative relationships and trust between Anglian Water and @one alliance’s teams.
* Build strong aligned relationships and understanding with AW operational leadership. Manage the key internal and external stakeholders.
* Act as a point of escalation, mediation, and resolution for both Anglian Water and the @one alliance.
* Drive business objectives of Anglian Water and the @one alliance, ensuring performance exceeds contract targets
* Lead the development of the @one alliance’s AMP8 delivery programme for sustainable project release.
* Be accountable for the successful delivery of the business objectives, providing clear direction and support in balancing commercial leadership and performance, carbon (Capex/Opex) reduction sustainable development and the championing of nature based solutions.
* Ensure business targets and Governance is achieved through regular reviews with the project leads, ensure risks and opportunities are communicated.
* Report business performance to the Managing Director and the Finance Director and the @One Board as required. Planning and Construction
* Lead a culture that inspires experimentation, innovation, and continuous performance improvement.
* Using the PAS 2080 principles of ‘Avoid – Switch – Improve’, identify ways to reduce carbon and increase natural capital within solutions.
* Capture and make use of lessons identified to drive solutions and process efficiencies.
* Engage, support, and contribute to Anglian Water pan-alliance initiatives.
* Engage with and develop relationships with the wider water sector, to help enhance both yours and the @one alliance’s performance and reputation.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* Degree
* Extensive experience in the delivery and operational planning of significant infrastructure projects.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver long term strategic plans aligned to business objectives in a collaborative environment
* Strong understanding of industry standards, business operations and regulatory requirements. Experience of the utilities sector assets preferable.
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Experienced with financial planning, budgeting and headcount management.
* Ability to anticipate and balances the needs of multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, uses compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others.
