We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our HR team. This position has its own partnership areas, will work alongside other HR Business Partners and Assistant HR Business Partners (both remotely and in person), whilst ensuring a unified business partnering approach and encourage the sharing of best practices.
About The Role
How will you contribute:
1. Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on a wide range of HR matters, including but not limited to, talent management and development, employee relations, performance management, and organizational design.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address HR challenges, proactively proposing innovative solutions to enhance organisational effectiveness and supporting the company strategy.
3. Support with the drive on employee engagement and culture initiatives, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.
4. Use HR metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs, identify trends, and provide insights to inform data-driven decision-making in relation to HR partnering areas and the team areas of focus.
5. Support the HR leadership team to implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives that promote a high-performance culture and align with legal requirements and best practices.
6. Support the HR Manager and Head of People UK on local, regional, and global projects and initiatives.
7. Drive and maintain engagement and strong relationships with the on-site Union Representatives, ensuring regular and meaningful discussions and consultation takes place.
8. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, translating them into actionable strategies and initiatives to drive organisational success.
9. Foster effective relationships with external vendors, partners, and industry networks to leverage resources and stay ahead of emerging HR trends and practices.
10. Support regional and global projects and initiatives, ensuring the team deliver these locally in a meaningful and impactive way for the culture and audience.
What will you Bring:
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources / CIPD Level 7 or demonstrable experience.
2. Proven work experience as a strategically focused HR Business Partner or similar role within an operational environment.
3. Previous experience working within an engineering or operations environment is advantageous.
4. Ability to work across the full lifecycle, remaining ‘hands-on’ as well as thinking bigger picture.
5. Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and establish credibility at all levels of the organisation.
6. Experience working in a unionised environment.
7. Experience effectively managing complex ER cases to resolution.
8. An affirmed understanding regarding CIPD best practices and UK employment legislation.
9. Ability to travel to our other port, in Southampton, regularly.

4. A full valid UK driving licence or appropriate international licence allowing you to drive on UK roads.
