Working closely with the Head of Nursing and Matrons you will develop, support and implement an educational framework for both new and experienced outpatient nursing staff of all grades. You will be expected to lead the work with Sister/Charge nurses on developing and implementing learning packages and competencies to support induction, preceptorship, and mentorship for the registered and unregistered workforce across the Outpatient service. With an ever changing workforce in nursing and phlebotomy the successful candidate will also be involved in the assessment, development and implementation of new roles within the outpatient environments. You will have excellent communication and facilitation skills and be able to manage your own workload and time as the Outpatient service is provided across 3 Hospital sites. As well as Nursing, there are a number of teams within Outpatient CSU that as Clinical Educator you will have the opportunity to work alongside. You will be able to advise and support the non-nursing educators and team managers within the CSU with staff development and competency packages in relation to improving our customer care and experience training Main duties of the job The job holder will play a lead role in ensuring the development of clinical staff both registered and unregistered. The job holder will enable the development of clinical practice mentors,assessors and key trainers,providing supervision through on-site support and Trust wide continuous professional development activities. The post holder will be responsible for leading clinical education and associated resources in Outpatients and phlebotomy clinical areas.The successful candidate will provide a high standard of education. The job holder will support the assessment of the quality of clinical and other practice learning environments, and implement interventions for improvement.The job holder will support mentors and assessors and ensure clinical professional development for preceptorship and other role developments. They will enhance the quality of care delivery from both the registered and unregistered workforce. You will be expected to lead the nursing contribution to service development, ensuring the pursuit of excellence in care. The job holder will lead on the implementation and monitoring of adherence to relevant clinical guidelines,audit and research.
