Shift pattern for this post is Tuesday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Please note the salary is pro rata for part time hours.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the friendly Mental Health Pharmacy Team at Stobhill Hospital. As an integral member of the team you will ensure the safe and effective supply of medicines to patients. Following standard operating procedures you will label and dispense medicines for inpatients and outpatients. The post holder should be comfortable in a patient facing role in a ward based environment where they will co-ordinate ward stock medicine top-up services. You will support nursing staff with good housekeeping of medicines. You will participate in processes that ensure the safe and timely supply of high risk medication to patients.
You must have the ability to communicate effectively using clear written and spoken English.
An SVQ/MVQ Level 2 Pharmacy qualification and / or experience working in a pharmacy environment is desirable but full training will be given.
The post holder will be based at Stobhill Hospital but will also be required to work at other Mental Health sites on occasions, working 8.30am – 4.30pm Tuesday to Thursday. You will be expected to participate in weekend working and public holiday rota where applicable.
