Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
* Support with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
* Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register.
* Prepare and process VAT returns.
* Support in preparing financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders.
* Assist with internal and external audits.
* Provide ad hoc support to the finance team as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT, or working towards a professional qualification.
* At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within accounting/finance.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is advantageous).
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with different departments.
