Due to an influx of work an opportunity has arisen to join one of the leading law firms in Cornwall and Devon as a Solicitor in the family department. What you will do: This role will focus mainly on the area of private and public law children work, but also includes the opportunity to undertake a broader variety of work and to develop skills across the whole area of the family team’s specialism This vacancy offers an excellent opportunity for a two year PQE Solicitor to build on an existing desk with secretarial support. In addition to routine case work the successful candidate will be expected to drive forward business development opportunities and contribute to department performance by supporting initiatives to take the practice into the future. The successful candidate must be able to travel to enable attendance at court as well as occasionally meeting with colleagues and clients at our other offices. About you The successful candidate will be efficient and have a good level of knowledge and understanding of private and public law children law and practice. You will understand the need to work to deadlines, how to prioritise work and meet the standards expected by the court. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales. You will be adaptable, flexible and ready to work collaboratively as part of an experienced, supportive and friendly team.
