Barton Court Academy Trust (BCAT) is a multi-academy Trust established in 2017, consisting of three secondary schools: Barton Court Grammar School, The Charles Dickens School, and Barton Manor Free School.
OUR SCHOOL
Barton Manor School is a non-selective 11-18 school located in Canterbury. The school is in its third year of opening and aims to provide an excellent education to its community, addressing social immobility through education.
The school has excellent facilities, including state-of-the-art electronic interactive whiteboards and specialist facilities for various subjects. We value a broad curriculum and invest in professional development for continuous improvement.
The Post
Required for 1 September 2025, the Trustees are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced History teacher to teach History in our Free School. The ability to teach up to GCSE is essential, and the ability to teach to A level is desirable. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced History teachers and will have the opportunity to teach Geography at KS3 for one year as the school grows.
The successful candidate should deliver excellence in the classroom, providing innovative and inspirational teaching and learning. This post is suitable for an experienced professional or an ECT starting their career.
A TLR for Gifted and Talented Coordinator (TLR2c), PSHE Coordinator (TLR2c), or Head of Year (TLR2b) is available to the right candidate.
