Accounts Administrator: - ATHENA DENTAL LABORATORY LIMITED

We have just entered a new chapter in our business life and are currently looking for an Accounts Administrator to help it grow in the right direction. You would be an integral part of this process. You will be experienced in making recommendations where financial management requires improvement. You will be responsible for aiding the delivery of and advising on significant savings through designing more streamlined and effective services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Financial Record-keeping: Maintain accurate financial records including invoices, receipts, and payments.
* Prepare management accounts up to Trial Balance in the accounting system.
* Perform monthly bank account and intercompany reconciliations.
* Record and check the accuracy of daily financial transactions for the business.
* Prepare provisional balances and reconcile these with appropriate accounts.
* Supervise payroll team and develop payroll systems and procedures for the business.
* Calculate and record hours worked, wages due, deductions, and voluntary contributions.
* Process holiday, sick, and maternity pay and travel and subsistence expenses.
* Compile schedules and distribute or arrange distribution of wages and salaries.
* Maintain employee and subcontractor contracts.
* Calculate costs and overheads and prepare analyses for management.
* Chase customers for payments and manage Credit Control.
* Prepare VAT Return.
* Deal with all account and client queries.
* Manage annual audits, including preparing all accounts, reconciling them, and liaising with auditors.
* Prepare data for Senior Accountant and Financial Controller to aid in business forecasting, budget planning, and credit control.
* Assist the team with monthly tasks and administrative responsibilities as needed.
Skills Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, as a minimum qualification.
* Minimum of 3 years experience as an Account Administrator.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Team player.
* Proficiency in using financial planning software and tools.
* Proficiency in navigating and utilizing tools/reporting on common platform providers.
* Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc).
* Relationship management.
* Corporate Governance and Regulation experience.
Salary and Benefits: Between £35K-£40k depending on experience
Working Hours: 9 am-5.30 pm Monday to Fridays (1 Hour lunch break). Total of 37.5 hours per week.
