We invite applications from experienced or aspiring HLTAs with a track record of excellent work with children. The post will adapt and change with the current needs of the trust, but will usually involve covering teachers' PPA and management release time, sickness cover, and planned training release time across a range of classes.
This position is permanent. The hours of work will be 31 hours per week, (8.30 am to 3.30 pm Monday - Friday), plus 1 hour after school meeting once per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 1 week).
The position involves working in partnership with class teachers with an aim to achieve the best outcomes for our children. You will be required to support the learning environment and the delivery of lessons through work set by teachers across a range of classes.
This rewarding role will suit someone with significant TA experience and knowledge of different teaching styles to engage challenging students. You need to understand how to motivate and encourage pupils to make progress and have the ability to differentiate and adapt learning programmes to suit varying needs.
It is a requirement of the role that you hold a GCSE in English and Maths of C grade or equivalent. A HLTA qualification or equivalent evidence of working at this level would be an advantage but not essential.
