We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong focus on Azure technologies - as a pivotal member of our team, you will contribute to a variety of high-impact projects for major clients across multiple sectors. Your work will enhance the value and positive impact of our solutions on communities and society. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, in-depth technical expertise and hands-on implementation skills to design and deploy robust cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our technological future, driving innovation, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our solutions. Full time employment with us is based on 40 hours per week This role can be based on a Hybrid basis from any of our key UK hub offices (Manchester, Bristol, Glasgow, London, Leeds or Winnersh) Some key duties and responsibilities Design, develop and implement end-to-end cloud solutions with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions Engage in hands-on implementation of cloud infrastructure, ensuring the architecture is robust, secure, and optimised for performance Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and budget constraints Apply DevOps methodologies to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency Establish and maintain effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers and external partners Monitor and ensure solutions meet organisational standards for security, performance and compliance Here's what you'll need Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field with subsequent professional experience as a Solution Architect with a strong focus on cloud solutions Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure DevOps Proven experience with cloud infrastructure, networking and security best practices Solid understanding of DevOps tools and methodologies, such as CI / CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform Proficiency in modern technology stacks including microservices architecture, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing Experience in developing comprehensive technical artefacts including solution diagrams, deployment guides and technical specifications Experience with geospatial technologies and solutions would be a significant bonus Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified or other related cloud certifications are highly desirable Our culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
