Our growing Lead Logistics team based in Ashby de la Zouch has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused and accurate Operations Coordinator where you will oversee daily operations via air, ocean, and ground transportation and manage all communications with customers, global suppliers and 3PL providers via telephone and email.
This is a Monday to Friday, hybrid role after training period where you will work 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
In this role, you will typically work from 08:00 to 16:30 or 09:00 to 17:30; however, flexibility is required to accommodate additional needs if necessary.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Operations Supervisor you will:
* Receive bookings from clients and organise transport requests.
* Input data into the system to support customers for manual shipment requests and out of scope requirements.
* Liaise with 3PL Carriers to secure appropriate transport.
* Liaise with 3PL local hauliers to book transport requirements and shipment updates.
* Ensure all 3PL hauliers adhere to CEVA’s collection and delivery process and update relevant milestones within agreed timeframes.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have experience in the transport and logistics industry, with a focus on customer service. You will be a self-motivated and well-organized individual able to work as a part of a team. Proficiency in using MS Office programs is essential for effective communication and data management.
You will be heavily involved in customer contact; therefore, you will need to be able to communicate effectively via phone and email and be comfortable delivering information relating to any delays in deliveries able to think on your feet in challenging and time critical situations and effectively find solutions to issues in a timely manner.
