What’s the opportunity?
We are looking for an Offender Monitoring Behaviour Analyst to join our team. The duties of this role include reviewing safeguarding incidents detected by the eSafe monitoring application, identifying the risk, and escalating the incidents appropriately. The analyst will need a keen eye for detail in identifying potential breaches of court orders including Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, making informed decisions, and creating accurate and detailed reports that may then be used to form an evidential package. You may be expected to work shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
This role is a great opportunity for an IT literate person who has a passion for safeguarding and criminal profiling looking for a break into a Cyber Safety or technology company. This role does require resilience and you may be required to review indecent and distressing text and imagery. Based in Salford but we do offer hybrid working options.
Here’s how you’ll do it:
1. Successfully complete NPPV3 vetting and security clearance.
2. Undertake a six-month training period to understand the product, service, and reviewing process.
3. Review content detected by the application to assess category and risk level.
4. Provide accurate written reports and escalate these to offender managers within police forces.
5. Call the offender managers when required to advise of high-risk activity.
6. Keep up to date with new applications, websites, and trends.
What will you bring?
1. A degree in a relevant field (Criminology/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Policing studies).
2. An interest/experience of working in safeguarding / crime prevention/ the welfare and well-being of young people and adults.
3. A good understanding of the English language and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
4. Very IT literate with a good knowledge of social media and online applications.
5. Quick decision-making skills.
6. An ability to remain calm and empathetic when under pressure or dealing with difficult situations.
7. A flexible approach.
8. A strong work ethic and ability to stay focused for extended periods.
9. Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiatives with creative ability to solve problems.
Desirable:
1. Previous experience of working with sensitive information.
2. Previous experience of monitoring and analysing behaviours.

This role requires the applicant to deal with moderation of content and other circumstances which may be distressing or inappropriate. Welfare services will be available to support the applicant. This role also meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Any applicants who are offered work for this organisation will be subject to an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This will include details of cautions, reprimands or final warnings as well as convictions. A criminal record will not automatically bar a person from successfully taking up this post; however, passing this vetting process is required to secure a confirmed offer of employment.
