Due to our increased expansion globally, Sapiens UK is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join our Cardiff-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who enjoys taking the lead on key projects and who enjoys travel as part of their role.
As we develop and deliver software solutions to Insurance providers, it is important that you have previously worked in the Insurance space - knowledge of policy administration is key to the success of this role.
Location: Ideally candidates will be from Cardiff or within a reasonable commutable distance, however, we will consider remote (within UK) who are an excellent match.
Please note we are not offering Visa/relocation support.
What you will do:
As an expert Business Systems Analyst, you will:
* Act as the key contact on all functional decisions, end-to-end solution understanding, and scope for projects.
* Demonstrate the value of Sapiens’ SDLC methodology/process to clients in the role of ‘trusted advisor’.
* Work with the Sales Support team to facilitate winning new business, including producing client proposals.
* Assist the Project Management Office team with defining project scope and with change requests - estimating workloads and their effective integration into overall project plans.
* Support the planning of the Requirements Specifications and Design phase, including sizing, resource allocation and phasing.
* Act as a custodian of the project scope and ensure any deviations to scope are managed correctly through the change control process.
What you need to succeed:
Essential :
* A regulatory background gained from working for Financial Services companies and recent Life Assurance & Pensions business knowledge.
* A breadth of experience as a Lead/Senior Business Analyst or Functional Architect.
* Agile experience.
* Experience of designing end-to-end solutions and acting as a design authority to a team of business or systems analysts.
* Experience of process re-engineering.
* Demonstrable experience of implementing significant functional change.
* Experience of the full project lifecycle having been involved in numerous system implementation or enhancement projects.
* Strong communication skills – ability to clearly articulate requirements.
* Willingness and flexibility to travel, as required.
* Ability to attend client site meetings when required. UK and international travel would therefore be expected.
Desirable :
* CII, or an equivalent qualification
* ISEB ACII/BCS/FPC/AFPC or an equivalent qualification
